At Aviporc, we remain committed to innovation and animal welfare. This time, we have completed a renovation in a purebred Retinta fattening facility in the province of Salamanca. As part of this renovation, we installed Galebreaker Rollerscreen curtains, an advanced solution to optimize both operational efficiency and the conditions inside the facility.

One of the main improvements was the construction of a central and end tack made of reinforced concrete, which facilitates continuous cleaning of the yards. We also installed a new tubular housing system, which includes pedestrian access doors to the yards, improving both animal and worker comfort and safety.
At the front of the building, two galvanized metal doors with leaf opening were installed. However, the most significant change was made at the rear, where we replaced the old sliding doors, which caused heat and limited natural light, with two 6-meter Rollerscreen curtains. These curtains not only allow the building to breathe and renew the stale air, but also stop drafts, keep the animals’ bedding dry by preventing water entry, and provide natural light inside. Additionally, being fully retractable, they facilitate the removal of manure.

The Rollerscreen curtains are designed to withstand contact with manure and ammonia-laden environments, making them perfect for this type of facility. With wind resistance of up to 90 km/h, they offer exceptional durability and come with a 10-year warranty for material wear or deterioration.
With these renovations, we continue to improve animal conditions and optimize our processes, ensuring a healthier, more efficient, and sustainable environment in the purebred Retinta fattening facility.
